From November 27 to December 1, Fu Ganghua, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Central South University (CSU), led a delegation to Hungary. The visit included meetings with Óbuda University and the University of Miskolc to strengthen institutional partnerships, as well as a visit to BYD’s European headquarters. In support of CSU’s internationalization strategy and deeper China-Hungary cooperation in academic exchange, research collaboration, and talent training.
During the visit to Óbuda University, the CSU delegation met with Professor Levente Kovács, President of the university, senior administrators, and faculty representatives to discuss cooperation in intelligent machinery, artificial intelligence, and environmental governance. The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to advance institutional collaboration.
At the University of Miskolc, the delegation held talks with Professor Helga Kovács, Vice President of the university. The two institutions renewed their MOU and agreed to expand cooperation in materials and chemical engineering, earth and environmental sciences, and health sciences. Fu Ganghua invited the presidents of both universities to visit CSU in October next year to attend the 120th anniversary celebrations of Xiangya Hospital and further deepen substantive cooperation.

The delegation also visited BYD’s European headquarters, where it met with company management to review progress in university-enterprise cooperation and gain deeper insights into BYD’s European market strategy and technological innovation.The two sides reached a preliminary consensus on strengthening industry-academia-research collaboration and the joint establishment of overseas practical education bases.Cao Heping, Executive Chairman (China) of the Hungarian-Chinese Friendship Association, Visiting Professor at CSU, and distinguished alumnus, accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

Representatives from CSU’s University Office, Office of Domestic Cooperation, and Xiangya School of Medicine accompanied the visit.
